What's going on at The Street

WHY JOIN THE STREET GYM? ❤️PLEASE DO READ ❤️

This is a bit of a read… but we think it’s worth explaining exactly what you get, what we’re trying to do differently, and why we created The Street Gym in the first place!

There have been a few comments that were expensive in places like the gazette, so let’s be completely transparent! Our membership is £50 a month and we are an access facility. We don’t have a swimming pool and we don't have tennis courts but we run it as parents! We’re a family! We’re real people with busy lives, kids, work and all the same challenges that everyone else has and we didn’t want to create another gym that just gets you through the door, takes your monthly payment and leaves you to figure the rest out.

Yes.....we want you to walk through the door on your own but we want you to have a safe place to train where you can come and go as you please.  The differece is we want to teach you how to train, if you need it.

When I first created our FREE 12-week programme, we thought it would mainly be for beginners, something to help people walk into the gym, know what to do and build confidence but what I  have realised, even since launching it, it’s so much more than that.

There are loads of people who have been going to the gym for years but still aren’t really sure what they should be doing, why they’re doing it or whether it’s actually working and it’s been about learning for us too but now we get it and now we have created The Street Gym and the Free 12 week program!

Not everyone can afford regular 1-to-1 PT.

Not everyone wants someone standing beside them every time they train and as parents, sometimes you simply cannot commit to being somewhere at a set time every week for set classes.

So we’ve created something in between. Our 12-week programme, alongside our monthly check-ins, is about teaching you the why behind training!
Why are you doing 8 reps one week and 10 the next?
Why are you lifting heavy on one day and doing higher-intensity conditioning on another?
What’s the difference between strength training, steady-state cardio and higher-intensity work?
What are you actually trying to achieve and how do you know whether it’s working?

Once you start understanding the why, training starts to make sense.

And when it makes sense, it becomes something you can actually build into your life rather than something you constantly have to force yourself to do.
No one just got in a car and drove!?

Our aim isn’t to make you dependent on us, quite the opposite. We want you to eventually be able to walk into any gym not just ours, look at a programme, understand what you’re doing, use the equipment confidently and know what questions to ask.
And if you need us, we’re still here.

You can use our classes to learn, and  you can have PT to develop specific skills but you won’t need to rely on it.

And now hopefully your thinking well.... wow I get all that for 50 quid......you also might be thinking surely we’re putting ourselves out of work by teaching you not to 'need' us.....but we want to have members that will stay and they value what they get for that £50 a month and beleive in us like we beleive in you, so this is where we think the £50 membership offers real value and why we think we are unrivalled.

You’re not just getting equipment. You’re getting a private, welcoming training environment with monthly check-ins, support, guidance, education and a team that genuinely wants you to make progress and stick with it!

We know we’re not the right gym for everyone and that’s completely okay but if you have read this and think we are for you then please do get in contact ❤️
there’s a reason our community looks the way it does.
